Almost there!
I can't believe I'm almost finished with my first year of law school. This has been the most emotionally and intellectually trying experience of my life. The funny thing is, I came to law school to figure out my life and as expected, that probably wasn't the best plan. I'm still confused!
Newest developments:
I'm working in DC this summer as an immigration law clerk at an Asian-American nonprofit. I'm living with two good guy friends from school, which is great because many parts of DC (hopefully not where we're living) are supposed to be sketchy. My goals for the summer are to relax (!) and exercise. I'll be taking frequent trips to NYC to visit old friends courtesy of the new $1 bus services.
Next year, I'm going to be managing editor of my law journal and political/community chair of the API identity org at school. I'm making a more concerted effort (starting with my summer job) to learn more about newer API immigrants and communities.
I expect to be in LA the last week of May and the first and second weeks of August. I'm pretty sad that I can count the number of weeks I get to spend in LA each year on one hand. The Bay Area is nice enough but nothing beats LA weather and friends.
I'm going to be a hermit for the next four weeks, au revoir!
